Exposition : Chefs d'œuvre ! Armures de la collection des Princes de Sedan
Thursday April 09
Musée du château fort 08200 SEDAN
From September 29, 2025 to September 21, 2026, at the Sedan Castle Museum.
Masterpieces! Eight exceptional suits of armor are on loan to the Château Museum from the Army Museum (Invalides, Paris), which is currently undergoing renovations. They come from the Château's Gallery of Antiquities, which housed the collection of arms and armor belonging to the lords and later princes of Sedan, known as the Bouillon-Turenne armory (16th-19th centuries). Some were gifts from the Kings of France to the princes. You can admire these suits of armor, among the finest in France and the world—true masterpieces! Discover the history of these works of art, armories, and the practice of jousting in the 16th and 17th centuries. Immerse yourself in the history of the Château, a remarkable historical monument of military architecture, an impregnable fortress over 600 years old!
Exhibition accessible with the entrance ticket to the castle.
