Exposition : Arthur Rimbaud, entre lisible et visible
Monday, April 20
Maison des Ailleurs – 7, quai Arthur Rimbaud 08000 CHARLEVILLE MEZIERES
From March 7 to June 14 at the Maison des Ailleurs.
This exhibition coincides with the publication of the catalogue raisonné, showcasing the exceptional richness of the collection of illustrated books and artists' books dedicated to the poet, shared by the Arthur Rimbaud Museum and the Voyelles Media Library. This exhibition and the catalogue bear witness to the enduring fascination Rimbaud has held for visual artists of all backgrounds, from the 1920s to the present day. A true journey into the heart of bibliophilia, they analyze the metamorphoses of the poetic work through the eyes of artists. From prestigious editions of the early 20th century to the most contemporary and experimental artists' books, they explore the ongoing dialogue between the legible and the visible, demonstrating how the image can, in turn, illuminate, extend, or transform the poetic text.
