The new long-distance hiking trail (GRP), named “Ardenne Tour: in the footsteps of Arduina”, offers a unique adventure in the heart of the captivating landscapes of the Ardennes. With its 350 km loop to be covered in 15 stages, this itinerary invites you to discover this territory, between magnificent nature, fascinating stories and unforgettable encounters.

The GRP Ardenne Tour draws its inspiration from Ardennes mythology with Arduinna, a Celtic goddess, protector of the Ardennes forest, riding a boar and crossing borders since the dawn of time. The heart of Europe, the Ardennes massif vibrates with a powerful history, an exceptional heritage and varied landscapes.
A varied route for experienced hikers
The Ardennes Tour is designed to satisfy experienced hikers. This new 350km loop hiking circuit offers 15 stages of approximately 23km each. Whether on foot or by mountain bike, everyone can create their own itinerary: the entire route, allowing at least two weeks, or just a few stages. The Ardennes Tour will take hikers to discover the hidden gems of the Ardennes and a mosaic of landscapes. The route includes Bouillon, Sedan, Chémery-Chéhéry, Bairon and its surroundings, Signy-l'Abbaye, Rimogne, Rocroi, Oignies-en-Thiérache, Hierges, Hargnies, and Les Hautes Rivières. Each stage is close to accommodation.
A connection to iconic trails
The Ardennes Tour partly follows existing trails that are popular with hikers in France and Wallonia. (GRP Argonne, Great Crossing of the Forest of the Pays de Chimay, Tour of the Pays de Bouillon, Great Crossing of the Ardennes, GR 14 towards Lake Der, GR 654-Path of Saint-Jacques). This approach guarantees good route quality and allows hiking enthusiasts to rediscover iconic routes from a new angle.
