Want to escape from everyday life, get off the beaten track while reconnecting with nature? The micro-adventure is made for you. Here we offer you a small, non-exhaustive selection of micro-adventures in the Ardennes. Up to you !

Hang on and trot at the Charlemont citadel

North of the Ardennes, la Charlemont citadel overlooks Givet and the Meuse. Former commando training center of the French army, the fortress reconnects with its past to offer you fun and sporting activities: laser game in the village and “cropping” activity. Inspired by the events of the former commando center, you will be invited to surpass yourself by borrowing via ferrata, nets, zip lines and monkey bridge overlooking curtain wall and ditch at a height of almost 30 m, jumping into the void or climbing the ramparts, all accompanied by coaching. Beautiful emotions in perspective!
The citadel can also be explored on an all-terrain electric scooter., in the heart of imposing ramparts. This last activity allows access to areas of the site usually closed to the public.

Build your own raft and sail on the Meuse

La Sedan Hiking Center offers a range of activities around travel, gentle or sporty, in contact with nature : nautical roaming (paddle, canoe, kayak, rowing or packraft), mechanical (bike, scooter), nature hike or walk, Nordic walking, walker trail.
Among them, one original activity: build your own raft and sail on the Meuse! Jérémy from O2 sports at the Maison des Ranches guides the apprentice step by step: long wooden sticks, cans and ropes assembled with lots of knots will give shape to the raft. Less than an hour of manufacturing followed by a buoyancy test, and departure for an original navigation on the Meuse and a discovery of the surrounding nature.
What do you say? Nice idea… It’s up to you to try!
