Here are his tips for the family in the Ardennes.

  • Domain of Vendresse
  • Elfy Park
  • 3 acrobatic parks: Parc TerrAltitude – Ardennes Terre d'Aventures and Le Chêne Perché
  • Educational farm of Liart
  • Argonne Discovery Park

Domain of Vendresse

For families, it's really not expensive and it's interesting for all ages. There is a play area in the sand, small and large slides, a zip line, a climbing wall... important detail, the benches are equipped with parasols. There are water games, the kids love it! In summer, there are workshops, archery, themed events. You can feed the fish (and catch them). As for the older ones, they can visit the blast furnace. The park is shaded, you can picnic there and stay there the day.

Elfy Park

This park [dedicated to Ardennes legends] is in the middle of the forest right next to the lake of the Vieilles Forges. Its strong point: the games are accessible to parents for a real moment of sharing with the children. Our favourite: the sensory journey. It's the biggest we've done. A great discovery, in addition to the many activities and picnic areas.

3 acrobatic parks

More than age, it's size that counts in acrobatic courses. But don't worry, professionals are there to inform us. There are three acrobatic parks, all for the family: the TerrAltitude park in Fumay, great for its zip line; the Ardennes Terre d'Aventures park in Vieilles Forges, with many activities of different levels and the Chêne Perché in Signy-l'Abbaye, with its 10 acrobatic courses.

Educational farm of Liart

I retain the accessibility and proximity to the animals, which are very docile. With lylou, we were able to pet a cow, take chicks in our arms, cross the barnyard. It was very lively, within everyone's reach. Even babies get their money's worth here. It is very impressive. And there are activities, workshops [making bread…] for older children. You can spend between 1h30 and 2 hours there.

Argonne Discovery Park

Birds of prey, food for wolves, farm, nocturnal animals, jumping hammock… There is no age limit for this park. From the age of 2 and a half, Lylou loved it: in the morning, we had a reading of tales around the wolf. There are also indoor activities and very good explanations around nocturnal animals. And lots of things to learn for the older ones, films to see, experiences to do... Just be careful of the accessibility of pushchairs in the park. Better to plan the baby carrier. Here too, we spend the day there. There are shady places.
