Amel Bouderra, FCBA leader (Flames Carolo Basket) was voted best French player in 2016 and 2017. She shares with you her tips for a city she has come to know and love.

The World Festival of Puppet Theaters

Walk around and discover a show on every street corner! The atmosphere is really friendly. Every two years, the city is animated from morning to evening.

Mount Olympus

I really like. You have to mount it. At the top, there is a plain, you can settle down there, play and you have a very nice view of Charleville-Mézières. Below, near the swimming pool, along the Meuse, we watch the passing boats, the children playing basketball. We always meet young people. And it feels almost outside the city. Ideal for a picnic.

The chairs of the Old Mill

Of course, there is the Place Ducale. You have to take the time to look at it, walk along the rue du Moulin, read the poems on the chairs near the Rimbaud Museum and take pictures.

Avenue d'Arches

At the other end of the city, going towards Mézières, the buildings of this avenue are magnificent, in Art Deco style. The town hall is also pretty and, even if you are in Mézières, go through rue Monge, walk along the barracks of the 3rd Engineers and the Meuse, and push on to the exhibition center. We train there and games are played from October to May.
