Le Presbytère de Sévigny

Charming Residence

Table d'hôtes in Champagne-Ardenne

Welcome to the Presbytery of Sévigny. Far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, pass through the gates of our century-old building and let time slow down.

Nestled in the heart of the peaceful village of Sévigny-Waleppe, on the border of the Ardennes, Aisne, and Marne departments, our old white stone house has been lovingly restored to offer you a true escape from the everyday. Here, the elegance of the past blends seamlessly with the absolute comfort of a guesthouse designed for your tranquility. Whether you come to recharge for a weekend or explore our beautiful region, we welcome you with the warm hospitality and art of French living.

The Elegance of Suspended Time

An invitation to disconnect

Step through the door and discover a true haven of peace. Our enclosed courtyard and large, tree-filled garden, where our old roses flourish, invite you to daydream. Let yourself be soothed by the birdsong, enjoy the absolute tranquility of our carefully decorated rooms, and savor the serenity of a stay where every detail has been designed for your relaxation.

The Epicurean Experience

An authentic and generous table

At Le Presbytère, indulgence is second nature. Your day begins with a flavorful breakfast: jams simmered with fruit from the garden, homemade yogurt, and local delicacies like the famous Ardennes ham. In the evening, by reservation, our Table d'Hôtes invites you to discover 100% homemade, seasonal cuisine, showcasing the finest local producers, to be enjoyed with a glass of Champagne from independent winemakers.

An Ideal Anchor Point

Between verdant nature and Champagne heritage

Ideally located, our house is the perfect starting point for your bucolic or cultural getaways. Stroll along the prestigious Champagne Route, admire the majestic Reims Cathedral (40 minutes away), or lose yourself in the narrow streets of the medieval city of Laon (35 minutes away). Upon your return, the tranquility of the countryside awaits you.

"Our greatest joy is sharing the soul of this house with you. Whether you're seeking historical discoveries or gentle relaxation, we'll be delighted to unveil the hidden treasures of our region." — Laurence & Jatin

The Essentials of Your Stay (Frequently Asked Questions)

1. Where is the Presbytery located in relation to Reims and the Champagne Route?

Our home is a haven of peace ideally located in Sévigny-Waleppe, 40 minutes from Reims Cathedral. It's the perfect compromise: you can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the City of Coronations and visits to renowned Champagne houses during the day, and return in the evening to the absolute tranquility of our countryside, far from the noise and parking hassles. We are also 35 minutes from the medieval city of Laon.

2. What do you offer for breakfast?

Waking up at the Presbytery is a ritual we cherish. Served in the elegance of our dining room, our breakfast showcases homemade products and local ingredients: jams made with fruit from our garden, homemade yogurt, regional honey, crisp pastries, cheeses, and the essential Ardennes ham. A truly gourmet experience, included in your stay, to start your day off right.

3. Is our vehicle parking secure?

Your peace of mind is paramount. Our property opens onto a private courtyard, enclosed by a motorized gate, the remote control for which we will provide upon your arrival. You can park your car (even low-profile or classic vehicles) or your motorcycle there safely, out of sight and right next to the house.

4. Do you have a charging station for electric vehicles?

Yes. To ensure a hassle-free stay, our secure parking area is equipped with a 22 kW fast electric charging station (rates on request). This allows you to explore the region with peace of mind and find your vehicle ready to go each morning.

5. What confidential discoveries await us in the surrounding area?

Our region is full of unexpected treasures. Besides the famous Champagne vineyards, you can explore the magnificent fortified churches of the Thiérache (including Parfondeval, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France) or delve into history at the Chemin des Dames. Upon your arrival, we will be delighted to share our address book and our favorite spots with you.

6. Do you welcome pets?

Although we are huge animal lovers (our cat and the squirrels in the garden are part of our daily lives!), we have chosen not to welcome your four-legged companions in our rooms. This allows us to guarantee absolute peace and quiet and impeccable hygiene (especially for our guests with allergies).

7. Do you offer a deal for business travelers?

While our hotel is an ode to relaxation, we've also thought of professionals seeking comfort after a long day on the road. From Monday to Thursday, we offer a "Souvenir Étape" package designed specifically for them.
