The Carafe tree of Villers-devant-Le-Thour, located at an altitude of 134 metres, where a wide panorama allows you to see Laon to the west and Reims to the south on a clear day, as well as the pretty village of Sévigny-Waleppe closer by.
Originally, the carafe tree was a centuries-old elm. It was even a landmark on maps of the country. Struck by lightning, it was replaced by a chestnut tree in 1868.
